7:30 – 9:00 AM
This morning in the Hayloft dormitory we were all half
asleep………… until Mr Gordon woke us up with his loud (and hoarse) voice. ”Wake
up campers!” came his voice (although we are sleeping in dormitories). Alfie,
however, was not woken as he remained fast asleep. Soon, the bell rang for
breakfast and we made our (slow) way towards the dining area, ready for the
fish cakes and tomatoes we received for our breakfast.
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
The
main activity today was Conway Castle (although we have probably all forgotten
about it by now!). The one hour long coach journey ended in front of the
historic town walls of Conway. Our tour guide, Neil, showed us around the (very
old) castle. To remember our trip, he showed us parts of the castle which we
were able to represent with our hands (there were thirteen in total). We were
able to purchase items from the castle shop but were limited on money; Caleb’s
somehow got “lost” in Mr Webb’s pocket! All too soon it was time to go back on
the coach for swimming and lunch….
1:00 – whenever the swimming finished
Most
of the afternoon was spent on the water slide – as soon it opened, the pool was
filled with screams loud enough to scare the living daylights out of any
person’s soul. The pool also had a range of things that would interest an 11
year old; the Jacuzzi was very popular!
Whenever we got back – now
Rain
was pouring down as we came back but that did not stop everyone wanting a go
on the rope swing – for many this was the highlight of the day!
Even Mrs Clayton and Miss Tetlow had a go!

ReplyDeleteWow! What a great day! Keep the photo's coming - we want to see pictures of muddy and wet teachers! Not that I am in any way encouraging you to get them wet or muddy.......
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are all continuing to have fun. I think Mr Gordon enjoyed waking up the little campers who had been a little noisy in the night boys! Swimming sounded great fun, I hope you didn't scare too many peope with your screaming!
